Joe's custom Spin Jig. Ghost White. 1/4 OZ.
Spin Jigs, sometimes referred to as under spins, have been around for decades because they flat out catch fish. Unfortunately, most Spin Jigs are made with cheap hooks and blades, resulting in mediocre perforamce to put it mildly.
Joe's custom Spin Jigs have changed that. We start by using a quality jig head, realistic eyes, and a super sharp, medium wire needle point hook. We use the highest quality American made ball bearing swivel, combined with a high quality American made Colorado blade , which ensures flawless blade rotation. We finish off the bait by adding one of our custom color matched paddle tail trailers. If you prefer, you can add a single or twin tail trailer, which works fine.
In freshwater, Spin Jigs will catch Crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, stripers, as well as walleye and northern pike. In Saltwater, Fluke, stripers and Red Drum will eat them up.
As far as presentation, I will either let the bait sink to the bottom, then fish it with a slow lift/drop motion, maintaining periodic bottom contact, or I will simply slow roll it in and around shallow cover or docks. I prefer to fish this bait on a 6'9" to 7' 2" medium light action spinning rod with a fast tip, spooled with 6 to 8 pound Gamma fluorocarbon line.
Pro tip: Do not fish the bait to fast or it will roll to the side, slow and easy.
